Client: Queens Scottish Fold — a Scottish Fold cattery and kitten breeder.
Challenge
A small, local pet-breeder site with a limited page count needed to compete against much larger pet marketplaces and directories for high-intent "near me" and breeder-specific searches — while also making sure the site stayed accessible to AI crawlers as more pet buyers start their research inside ChatGPT and AI Overviews rather than a plain Google search.
Approach
- Built out dedicated, uniquely written pages targeting core breeder and location-based search terms
- Verified and kept AI crawlers (ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, Google-Extended) explicitly unblocked, alongside standard Googlebot access
- Ran ongoing technical site-health monitoring to keep crawl and indexing issues near zero on a small site
- Built a genuine backlink profile through outreach and citations rather than low-quality directory spam

Monthly site audits track two scores side by side: overall Site Health (82%) and a dedicated AI Search Health score (93%) — confirming the site is explicitly unblocked for ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, Googlebot, and Google-Extended, and is well-optimized for AI-driven discovery, not just traditional search.
Core breeder terms now rank on page one: "scottish fold near me" at position 4, "scottish fold breeders" at position 5, backed by a real backlink profile of roughly 35,100 links.

Search Console shows steady, compounding growth in both clicks and impressions over a rolling three-month window — meaningful movement for a site with only 16 indexed pages.
